A blog about tabletop gaming
You've come to your senses.
Balance was never it's strong point. Besides, I tended toward crazies and such, so I expected death. Well, that and I just never cared about any of my PCs in that game.It would have worked better as a fiction searing then a game setting.
Setting even ;)
Hahaha! What Timeshadows said.Although, if done a certain way, it can be done and everyone has fun. As presented, it is a mess.
Tenkar, I think you've hit the nail on the head regarding fiction vs. game setting. As to the rest of the gang... RIFTS isn't so much a poorly balanced game as it is a game of rhetorical questions. For instance, would you rather have a slingshot or an atomic death ray? Would you rather wear armor made out of tinfoil, or Super Unbelievium? Would you rather I kick you in the genitals, or kick someone else in the genitals? Etc. For you Eddie Izzard fans: CAKE OR DEATH?!
Once again...sorry, man.: (
This is one of the better blog posts I've read in a long time. You win a Glitterboy, sir.
