Even though we were only together for a short time, and she ended up being way too high maintenance for me... gods Alternity looked hot. I still look at pictures sometimes.

  1. What's your go-to for space opera these days? I haven't settled yet (even though SWN is super popular and apparently beloved by all).

    1. Well, I do love me some SWN for sure.. well, the first edition. The Revised edition gets a lot of love, but honestly it didn't do much for me when I ran it for a one-off last summer. I also have White Star, which looks like it might just be my huckleberry, but I haven't gotten to try it out yet.

My present group doesn't seem to have an interest in sci-fi, nor any interest in D&D that isn't Pathfinder, *gag* so it might be a loooong time before I even have occasion to need a go-to.

From what I know of you, I'd bet that you'd like White Star the best.

    2. Probably. White Star seems simple enough.

Then again, I did just find a cheap copy of Star Frontiers at HPB last week, so maybe I'll have to take that for a spin.

    3. Oh man...I haven't actually played Star Frontiers since I was in 7th grade.

I couple of years ago I did a series of blog posts where I converted the SF races to SWN. I think some zine or other has also done that.

I can't remember much about the system except that it was mostly, if not entirely, d% based.
