My main beef is that time is always, always wasted on technical difficulties, and they are seldom the same difficulties. We wasted a good 30 minutes on audio issues last night.
It was like that when we started doing it, but recently we rarely have issues. What platform were you using?
We use Roll20 for maps/text/pics/dice, but never use the audio because of issues. We connect with Hangouts in a separate window for the audio only. Works well for us.
We use discord. The games I run with this crew tend not to be very tactical, so maps are usually not needed. We use a dice roller bot for the rolls. I have used Roll20 in the past and I just didn't care for it.
